This week our topic is vocabulary. Learning vocabulary is the foundation of learning a language. Are you also struggling because students have a hard time remembering words? Here is a really easy way to learn and review vocabulary----Quizlet!

How to use Quizlet?

Quizlet is a very handy website that allows people to create flashcards. Flashcard is a super popular method for memorizing materials, It is widely used in language learning. You can use Quizlet to create your own set of vocabulary, Or you can look up other userssets of materials which may also be useful, this is an open site. And it's very easy to use, you just need to prepare the word and its definition or translation or whatever you want to memorise, use the simple import function and you'll have your own flashcards! Here is a wonderful tutorial video to teach you how to create Quizlet flashcards in 2 minutes, click and check it!

One thing I really like about Quizlet is that it is really open. You could freely add images or voice recordings to your flashcards, and you can manage the access of who can see or edit the set. In addition to making flashcards, there are more functions on Quizlet waiting for you to explore, such as learning, testing and matching. You can also play games on Quizlet, adding some fun to study 😋

However, is there any limitation of Quizlet?

One thing that many people will consider is that although Quizlet is free to use, you have to pay to access its full range of features. And it's not a one-time payment, the Quizlet Plus will cost £6.99/month or £31.99/year, which may be a consideration for many people😖 Also, Quizlet could not be used offline, which may add a little inconvenience.

So much for Quizlet todayAnyway generally its still a wonderful tool for students to remember vocabulary, give it a try and I will talk about something else next week😊

  1. Hi, I enjoy looking through your blogs. The colors you use are comfortable. And you have a clear and organized structure. I have a little suggestion that try to set the texts to be aligned at both ends, which may make your pages look better.
